Sacramento has many amazing events to attend every month out of the year. From festivals to art shows there's always something to enjoy and January is no exception. After the new year's celebrations wind down, there will be plenty of fun things to do throughout the city, with events geared toward everyone.

SacAnime Winter 2015 - This year marks the 10th annual Sacramento Anime convention. Born out of the city's quarterly Comic, Toy and Anime Show (SAC-CON), SacAnime focuses on "family friendly" pop culture, celebrating, but not limited to, Japanese/Asian influenced entertainment. From television shows to video games, this convention offers a look into some of the best pop culture of today. Held from January 2–4 this year, the convention will include special guests like John DiMaggio (the voice of Bender on Futurama), Charles Martinet (the voice of Mario) and much more.
Malt Monday's at Block Butcher Bar – Whisky lovers will enjoy the Malt Monday events at the Block Butcher Bar at 1050 20th Street ever week. Each Monday, a specific region or malt will be showcased, including some rare and exclusive bottlings.
The Provoke Era: Japanese photography – Till February 1, the Crocker Art Museum will be hosting an exhibit of post-World War II photography from Japan. Featuring the amazing work of photographers such as Masahisa Fukase, Eikoh Hosoe, Daido Moriyama and Shomei Tomatsu, the event highlights the strife and tumultuous period that followed the war as Japan worked to rebuild its culture and society in a new political era.
