Spend Valentine’s Day on the Napa Valley Wine Train

Enjoy lunch or dinner on the Napa Valley Wine Train this Valentine's Day.

One of the best things about living in Sacramento or one of its surrounding towns is getting the chance to visit Napa Valley, Lake Tahoe, San Francisco and other popular destinations in the Golden State whenever you want to, without having to pay a fortune in cost-of-living expenses. Just think of how nice it would be to take a day trip to one of those gorgeous locations for holidays like Valentine's Day.

In fact, folks who already live in Sacramento or the greater Sacramento area and are looking for something special to do this Valentine's Day may want to consider taking a trip on the Napa Valley Wine Train for a romantic experience they'll never forget.

"The Napa Valley Wine Train provides a relaxing three-hour, thirty-six mile round-trip journey from the historic town of Napa, through one of the world's most well known wine valleys to the quaint village of St. Helena, and back," explains the Napa Valley Wine Train website. "Guests […] enjoy a freshly prepared lunch or dinner inside a fully restored 1915-1917 Pullman Dining Car or 1952 Vista Dome car as they pass the vineyards and wineries of Napa Valley."

Packages range from $134 to $264. Guests have the opportunity to register for lunch or dinner on Friday, February 14, or dinner on Saturday, February 15, if they're hoping to extend their Valentine's Day celebration. A strolling violinist will play romantic music throughout the train as guests take in the beautiful surroundings and enjoy their delicious meal.

Of course, those who are feeling a bit more adventurous this Valentine's Day can always sign up for a winery tour instead.
